Fred Zanin is a master with his own unique handwriting in music, where childish foolishness and spontaneity are very bizarrely combined with venerable professionalism and sophistication. The apparent simplicity of Zanin's plays hides the refinement and skill of a concise and not overloaded with sound heaps of utterance, which is precisely what is valuable. In essence, this is a real neoclassical, but not of the liquefied and cold type that we are used to and which is Packed to the top of the soundtracks of the current film industry. This is very warm and concise music, filled with the luxury of inner comfort, which is now so necessary for us all. The musician celebrates his birthday (Fred Zanin is 50 years old), as always, in an original way: he gives us his new album "Varya Doma" (Varya at home) and this is a very nice journey into the inner world of an adult rather than a child. This adult is compressed and squeezed in the grip of a modern world that is becoming more and more insane and inhumane. The composer-conceptualist Fred Zanin with a sly smile of a kind Troll gives us the opportunity to become children again and it is just stupid not to use it.
